LCRB Funds Prevent Homelessness in Lincoln County
What was once a hidden problem in our community has emerged from the shadows and is demanding a community response: homelessness. This month’s featured LCRB YouTube video highlights Sts. Joachim & Ann Care Service. The Care Service works to help prevent Lincoln County families and children from becoming homeless through its case management program. The LCRB-funded program is offered at a community level and now also comprises Sts. Joachim & Ann Care Service social workers embedded within the Troy and Elsberry School Districts. The LCRB-funded program’s clinical outcomes include: ensuring students are enrolled in school; improving families’ basic needs; finding permanent housing; ensuring the health and safety of kids during high-risk periods; strengthening connections to social support systems and more.
